The University of Bengkulu has an effective management to collect and evaluate not only data of students, lecturers, teaching staff, graduates, other stakeholders but also Key Performance Indicators (Henceforth IKU -Indikator Kinerja Utama) and Additional Performance Indicators (Henceforth IKT -Indikator Kinerja Tambahan). The effective process conducted by UNIB to collect and analyze information of students is done through: 1) Entry survey. This survey is conducted on new students at the orientation time. The purpose of the survey is to obtain background information on students such as area/ethnic/province origin, economic background, school origin, etc. The results of this survey can be one of the foundations for the implementation of learning methods in each study programme. 2) Portal system. The student academic progress information system can be monitored through the academic portal system (https://pak.unib.ac.id). Moreover, academic supervisors can monitor the academic progress based on student GPA in each semester, while the study programmes monitor the academic progress through siakad (siakad.Unib). The study programme will also take action on students who experience academic issues, including if the student has to drop out.
Furthermore, the information management related to student satisfaction with the learning process for each lecturer can be accessed through (https://siepel.unib.ac.id/). The institution of Learning Development and Quality Assurance (Henceforth LPMPP –Lembaga Penjamin Mutu dan Pengembangan Pendidikan) is a unit that works to compile and report the evaluation result to the university leaders which will be submitted to the faculty, which later will be forwarded to the study programmes. This evaluation is conducted every semester on all courses offered at UNIB. The Quality Assurance Team at the faculty level and the Quality Control Group in each study programme will evaluate and pay close attention to suggestions from the results of the learning evaluation for future improvements. The results of the learning process feedback, especially negative ones, will be followed up by the dean, the coordinator of study programmes, and supporting lecturers to solve problems so that the quality of learning can be improved. The results of the learning evaluation are then evaluated. The learning outcomes report will be used as the basis for the UNIB leaders to improve the quality of learning, including improving the infrastructure. In 2020-2021 the LPMPP team revised the learning evaluation questionnaire which was submitted online (due to the Covid 19 pandemic).
