The curriculum of BM Study Programme is implemented an outcome-based education (OBE) programme. It is based on the Decree of the Rector of the University of Bengkulu Number 2083/UN30/HK/2021, dated August 20th, 2021. To complete the study and get a bachelor’s degree in BM, students must take 148 SKS, equivalent to 223.48 ECTS, for eight semesters. Based on this curriculum, the BM students must take 21 SKS of University Compulsory Courses, 26 SKS of Basic Compulsory Courses, 92 SKS of BM Study Programme Compulsory Courses, and three SKS of BM study elective courses. The BM Study Programme provides five elective courses with three SKS each.
During the study period, students are provided with academic guidance services through the PA. The university, faculty, and department/study programme facilitate students with extracurricular and self-development activities. The student activities include developing reasoning, interests, talents, and soft skills; providing scholarship services, career and entrepreneurship guidance, guidance and counselling, and health services. The services are held under the coordination of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at the university level and are conducted by the Division of Student Affairs, and are also assisted by several Technical Implementation Units (UPT) such as the UPT of Student Competency Development (including career development centre), UPT of Languages, UPT of Library, UPT of Partnership and International Affairs, and UPT of Archives. The policy for the formation of these UPTs is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 63 of 2013 on the Organisation and Work Procedure of the University of Bengkulu and the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 75 of 2013 on the Statute of the University of Bengkulu. While at the Faculty level, student services are conducted by the Division of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Department/Study Programme and coordinating with student organisations at the faculty level.
Learning is conducted with an outcome-oriented curriculum (OBE). Assessment is conducted every semester for the course packages taken by the students. The students can take many SKS in the next semester based on the GPA obtained in the previous semester, referring to the curriculum rules of the BM study program
